Dredd: New Images

We have earlier brought you the first look of Karl Urban's Judge Dredd in Dredd, the upcoming live-action adaptation of the beloved 2000 AD character. Courtesy of Collider and Empire, have a good look at the top lawman in Mega-City One, as well as other characters from the Pete Travis-directed film.

Directed by Pete Travis with a script by Alex Garland, Dredd would be the second live-action adaptation of arguably UK's favorite comic hero, the beloved 2000 AD character Judge Dredd. While the film will be totally unrelated to 1995 monstrosity directed by Danny Cannon and starring Sylvester Stallone as the eponymous character, one can't help but wonder the practical execution of the character.

Thanks to Collider, we have a good look at the new adaptation with scans from the latest issue of Empire Magazine. Check out Karl Urban doing his best grumpy face as Judge Dredd, Olivia Thirlby (Juno) as Judge Cassandra Anderson, and Lena Headey (Sarah Connor in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Cersei Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones) as arch-villain Madeline Madrigal (AKA "Ma-Ma").

Dredd is produced by Danny Boyle's production company DNA Films with a scheduled release date of September 21st, 2012 in 3-D.
